We are currently seeking a Grade 3 Clerical Officer to join a busy administration team, supporting clinical services across Cork City and East Cork.
This is a varied administrative role combining reception, general office administration and support for clinical services. You will play an important role in ensuring patients are supported, appointments and referrals are managed efficiently, and clinics operate smoothly from an administrative perspective.
Duration: 3 month contract
Hourly rate: €17.49
Location & Travel
The successful candidate will be based:
- 3 days per week in Cork City
- 2 days per week across clinics in East Cork
As the role involves regular travel between clinic locations, access to your own transportation to support travel between locations is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and scheduling patient appointments.
- Providing reception and front-of-house support to patients and clinic staff.
- Processing and managing referral letters and other clinical correspondence.
- Responding to telephone and email enquiries in a professional and helpful manner.
- Maintaining accurate patient and administrative records.
- Providing general clerical and administrative support to clinical teams.
- Liaising with patients, healthcare professionals and other relevant services as required.
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the clinics.
- Carrying out other general administrative duties as required.

Previous experience in healthcare administration, reception or a busy office environment would be an advantage.
