About the Role
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented AI-Enabled Medical Content Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will create, refine, and review high-quality medical information content for digital platforms, supporting both healthcare professionals (HCPs) and patients.
This is a dual-audience position requiring equal strength in clinical writing and plain language communication. You will be confident in translating complex medical information into clear, accessible content while maintaining scientific accuracy.
You'll also play a key role in leveraging AI-powered tools - using them effectively, understanding their outputs, and applying regulatory and quality standards to ensure all content is compliant, accurate, and fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review medical information content for digital channels including voicebots, webchat, messaging, and email
- Create structured content tailored to both HCP and patient audiences, adapting tone and complexity appropriately
- Apply health literacy and plain language principles to all patient-facing materials
- Use AI-powered tools to generate content from approved medical source documents
- Critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, relevance, and audience suitability
- Apply risk classification frameworks to guide content scope and escalation decisions
- Analyse contact centre data and query trends to identify content gaps and prioritise development
- Build, manage, and maintain content portfolios across digital channels, ensuring content remains current and compliant
- Contribute to regular content performance reviews, identifying insights and opportunities for improvement
- Maintain thorough documentation and audit trails for all content activities
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, nursing, or a related healthcare discipline
- Experience in medical information or pharmacovigilance within a regulated pharmaceutical environment
- Strong proficiency with AI tools, including the ability to critically assess outputs and understand how AI-driven content systems function
- Demonstrated expertise in health literacy and writing patient-friendly medical content
- Proven ability to write for both professional and lay audiences with equal confidence
- Excellent written English and strong attention to detail
- Experience working with data or metrics to inform content strategy and prioritisation
- English AND German or Spanish or French, or Italian (English & second language)
Desirable Skills
- Experience with patient-facing digital platforms (e.g. webchat, messaging, voicebots)
- Familiarity with content management systems such as Veeva Vault
- Practical experience using AI tools in a professional setting
- Exposure to global medical information environments (e.g. US and/or EU markets)
- Candidates who can speak two or more of the languages listed above are ideal.
