Head of Tax - Aviation Leasing

We are working with a global aviation leasing company seeking an experienced tax professional to lead the tax function, reporting directly to the CFO. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for tax compliance, reporting, structuring and advisory across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the group's tax function, ensuring compliance across all tax heads, including transfer pricing.

• Oversee tax reporting and accounting requirements.

• Advise on tax matters arising from leasing transactions and deal-related activity.

• Lead negotiation and review of tax clauses in transaction documentation.

• Manage corporate tax risk and optimise the group's global tax structure.

• Act as primary liaison with auditors, tax authorities and external advisors.

• Monitor legislative changes, advise on impacts and drive implementation.

• Provide tax guidance on issues such as corporate residency and permanent establishments.

• Contribute to strategic projects and support wider finance initiatives.

Non-Negotiables

• AITI, ACA, or ACCA qualified.

• Minimum 5 years' post-qualification experience in a tax role, with substantial exposure to aviation leasing.

• Strong technical expertise in corporate tax; US tax experience is an advantage.

• Advanced technical and analytical skills.

• Willingness to travel as required.
