Senior Financial Accountant - Interim
Daily Rate: Inside IR35
Duration: 6 Months initilly
Location: Hybrid - Bristol, 2 days per week
We're looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team in a broad and varied role covering financial reporting, management information and technical accounting.
This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working with the numbers but also wants to understand the commercial story behind them and influence senior stakeholders.
The Role
- Own monthly and quarterly financial reporting for senior management and Group.
- Prepare and analyse management accounts and MI, providing clear commentary and insight.
- Work across UK GAAP, HGB and other relevant accounting frameworks.
- Analyse financial performance and key business drivers, highlighting trends and opportunities.
- Partner with teams across the business to improve financial understanding and decision-making.
- Work closely with technical accounting on complex accounting matters and analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support wider finance projects and initiatives.
- Help develop and support more junior members of the team.
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong post-qualified experience.
- Strong background in financial reporting and management accounting.
- Good knowledge of UK GAAP and/or HGB.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Confident communicating financial information to senior stakeholders.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to understand and explain the drivers behind the numbers.
- Comfortable challenging existing processes and identifying improvements.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively to tight deadlines.
