About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced Commercial Insurance Sales Professional with a strong track record of developing new business and managing client relationships? Do you enjoy a role where you control your own schedule, grow your portfolio, and work autonomously within a supportive structure?
This is a field-based, client-facing position, ideal for candidates based near:
London, Reading, Cambridge, Bristol, Southampton, Gloucester, Exeter, Braintree, Coventry, Northampton, or Brighton (or surrounding areas).
The Role
Due to continued growth, our client is expanding their commercial team and seeking talented Commercial Account Executives. This role combines new business generation, lead development, and the ongoing servicing and renewal of accounts you bring into the business.
You will work across a broad range of sectors including construction, leisure & hospitality, professional services, care, and retail, engaging with clients typically ranging from £10,000 to £1,000,000 GWP.
This is an excellent opportunity to build and shape your own portfolio while being supported by an established, well-resourced brokerage.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver agreed brokerage and fee-income targets to support business growth.

Manage and renew client accounts generated through your own activity.

Build, maintain, and develop a high-quality prospect pipeline.

Generate new business through outbound activity, networking, and relationship building.

Attend relevant industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to expand your network.

Work with marketing and lead-generation partners to support regional sales activity.

Ensure full compliance across the entire sales and service process.

Collaborate effectively with internal teams to provide an exceptional client experience.
What We're Looking For

Minimum 3 years' commercial insurance sales experience (face-to-face client work essential).

Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and market practices.

Experience with insurance platforms such as Open GI or Acturis (training provided if needed).

CII certificate or working towards-support provided for further qualifications.

Excellent communicator with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage your own diary and work towards targets.

Ability and willingness to travel for initial weekly sales meetings.

Flexibility within standard Monday-Friday working hours.
