Great opportunity for an expert Program Coordinator to join a high-profile NSW government agency to coordinate and support business-wide transformation and improvement initiatives of the department.

The role is mainly focused on providing support to Program Directors/Managers by gathering relevant data and producing information to assist project teams in delivering quality outcomes for the organisation.

This is initially a 9-month contract, and will follow a hybrid work model (Sydney CBD, Kent / Work from home).

About the role:

  • Support the Program Lead with the collation of content for input to the fortnightly status report, and provide insights and salient points that enable the Program Lead to know the status and health of the project/program/sub-portfolio.
  • Facilitate the creation of high quality steering committee packs to support the Program Lead
  • Responsible for the administration of managing risks & issues. This includes identifying and raising risks & issues that require updating & escalating items that need to be brought to the attention of the Program Lead.
  • Coordinate the program's resource requirements, including vendors, and work with line managers to ensure clarity of timings.
  • Manage dependencies and interdependencies across the project, driving the agreement and management of both inbound and outbound dependencies to ensure a successful schedule and ability to realise the project objectives.

About you:

At least 3+ years of experience in a similar role

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Knowledge file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.

Ability to work on tight deadlines.

Previous government and insurance experience highly desirable, but not essential
