About the company
Our client is an EU FMCG retailer with over 20,000 employees in the globe. In line with their international growth strategies, they are looking for a Demand Planner to join the Regional Supply Chain team and manage the demand to ensure optimal inventory levels, maximize customer satisfaction, and minimize costs.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and finance, to gather and analyze data on historical sales, market trends, promotional activities, and other demand drivers.
- Develop and maintain demand forecasting models and methodologies based on statistical analysis, market insights, and business intelligence tools.
- Generate accurate demand forecasts at various levels of granularity, such as SKU, product category, and geographic region, considering different factors like seasonality, market trends, and product lifecycle.
- Monitor and analyze demand patterns, identify demand variability, and evaluate forecast accuracy to continuously improve forecasting models and processes.
- Conduct regular demand review meetings with stakeholders to discuss forecast results, identify gaps, and align on demand planning strategies.
- Collaborate with procurement and production teams to ensure that inventory levels are optimized to meet customer demand while minimizing carrying costs and stockouts.
- Evaluate the impact of new product introductions, promotions, and other demand drivers on the supply chain and provide recommendations for managing potential risks and opportunities.
- Monitor and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning accuracy, inventory levels, and customer service levels.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging demand planning technologies and techniques to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Diploma or above, major in Supply Chain Management or Business-related disciplines
- Minimum 4 years hands on experience of demand planning and familiar with SC Business models in planning and forecasting
- Experience working in FMCG with Asia market exposure are an advantages
- Proficiency in MS Excel & navigating replenishment planning systems
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Mandarin is essential
