Job Description

A Manchester based UK broker is seeking to hire a Trading & Operations Analyst to be part of pivotal team in foreign exchange operations.

My client is a global high-growth financial technology company leading the transformation of the global FX industry toward transparent, fair, precise, and consistent execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report net exposures in the foreign exchange trading portfolio, covering FX, Commodities, Indices, and CFDs, ensuring adherence to approved limits, policies, and procedures.
  • Swiftly escalate critical issues as needed.
  • Adhere to regulatory compliance and internal policies and procedures.
  • Provide senior management with detailed data analysis results upon request.
  • Monitor daily trading activities and logs, including rejections, latency, Net Open Positions, and slippage; identify and resolve potential issues promptly.
  • Actively monitor the company's systems, price feeds, and clients' trading activity and exposures; investigate suspicious trades to ensure accounts align with the firm's risk limits.
  • Manage, maintain, and support system configurations.
  • Conduct end-to-end trade investigations.
  • Take responsibility for in-depth testing of internal software and developments related to Trading and Operations.
  • Maintain trades and related statistics in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as compliance and customer support, to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Produce any other reports or written material as required by business needs.

Key Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience within a financial services or trading environment.
  • A grasp of financial markets, instruments, and trading strategies.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Keen attention to detail and capability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, along with hands-on experience with trading-related software and tools.
