With a global presence and a strong reputation, they specialize in delivering state-of-the-art data center projects that power the digital world. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Project Manager to join their team for an exciting new data centre project in Dublin.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Mechanical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the successful execution of our data centre project in Dublin. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the mechanical systems, ensuring they meet high-quality standards, are completed on time, and stay within budget. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, liaise with clients, and lead a talented group of professionals to deliver a cutting-edge data centre facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Lead the mechanical aspects of the data centre project, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support throughout the project.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all mechanical systems meet industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Client Engagement: Maintain regular communication with clients to provide project updates, address concerns, and ensure satisfaction.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Health and Safety: Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all project stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the project stays on track.
- Reporting: Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Project Manager in the construction or M&E industry, with a strong background in data centre projects.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment used in data centre construction.
- Strong understanding of industry regulations, codes, and best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Irish experience is essential.
