Exciting Career Opportunity for an Accomplished Procurement Professional to Lead a Strategic Procurement Category Management Role

The company, a dynamic and rapidly expanding global entity, is seeking a proficient Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role in ensuring a consistent supply of high-quality products aligned with strategic business objectives.

Position Summary: Procurement Manager

Reporting Structure: Reports to Director of Product and Innovation

Key Responsibilities:


  • Tender and Supplier Management:

    • Oversee the tender, nomination, and management of Finished Goods portfolio for Ireland in alignment with the defined product strategy.
      • Manage contracts and lead pricing negotiations with suppliers.


  • Strategic Sourcing:

    • Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for the category, considering both local business considerations and overarching category strategy.
      • Diagnose local market needs in alignment with the business strategy.


  • Procurement Benefit Projects:

    • Drive procurement benefit projects, ensuring successful implementation through daily collaboration with internal stakeholders.
      • Work towards materializing procurement savings while ensuring the best value for products.


  • Supplier Partnerships:

    • Build and improve partnerships with strategic suppliers.
      • Identify and execute product migrations with suitable supply partners.


  • Continuity of Supply:

    • Ensure the continuity of supply and address supply issues that cannot be resolved by the supply chain or quality assurance.


  • Data Management and Analysis:

    • Collate supplier performance data for strategic supplier reviews.
      • Maintain accurate and timely pricing and supplier information in the ERP system.


  • Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Engage with internal stakeholders to generate ideas and opportunities.


  • Team Management:

    • Provide day-to-day management and development of team members within their roles.

    Experience and Skills Required:

    • Negotiation Skills: Proven experience as a skilled negotiator.
    • Relationship Management: Strong skills in managing relationships both internally and externally.
    • Category Management: Previous experience in category management and data analysis.
    • Leadership Skills: A strong team player and project leader.
    • Supplier Management: Experience managing a wide range of suppliers within the BIFG category.
    • SAP Proficiency: Experience working with SAP.
    • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
