Job Description

An exciting opportunity for an expereince procurement specialist to to lead the produrement function across the company with a focus on Indirect procurement

The central group procurement function work with various departments within the business to identify suitable vendors bases on departmental requirements, the department also source and negotiate commercials with vendors.

Role Responsibilities

  • Carrying out the procurement process including the preparation of documents, Tenders, RFP's, evaluations, contracts etc
  • Reviewing Group Supplier spend to help determine procurement strategy for vendors.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholder to fully understand operational and purchasing requirements ahead of vendor negotiations, sourcing etc
  • Sourcing and meeting relevant Suppliers and carrying out contractual negotiations for indirect spend.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers
  • Delivering Procurement Savings Targets.
  • Ensuring Procurement Policies and Procedures and PO process guides kept up to date.
  • Assisting on all area's relating to Procurement.

Experience

  • CIPS, Finance or equivalent Procurement qualification
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience working in a procurement function.
  • Previous experience in leading and delivering successful supplier negotiations.
  • Previous experience preparing RFQ's, running tenders, tender evaluations and reviewing and updating vendor contracts.
  • Excellent analytical and computer (Excel/MS Office) skills. Familiarity with PO systems and processes.
  • Competent in the use of finance systems to run reports and produce insights and analytics on supplier spend
  • Ability to prepare Request for Quotations and Tenders
  • Ability to successfully negotiate spend across a broad range of departments including IT & Professional services.
  • Ability to track and report on savings
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take direction.
  • Competent in the use of Financial and PO systems to delivers supplier spend reporting/category analysis
  • The ability to work to deadlines
  • Effectively communicate and influence others across the organisation at all levels.
  • Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated with ability to work autonomously.
