Job Description

Excellent Finance Director position with an ambitious Multinational Media company based in Dublin. This is a great opportunity for a senior candidate to progress their career with a exciting business

Excellent opportunity with a leading Multinational Media company based in Dublin City Centre. You will lead a finance team of 6 and report to the CFO. This is a broad, commercial and hands on role where the Financial Director is tasked with the successful delivery of operational and statutory finance for the Rights Division

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage statutory reporting obligations for Irish and UK entities within the group, e
  • Prepare bi-annual Finance reporting for board meetings.
  • Manage taxation function and obligations for Irish and UK entities and liaise with external tax advisors as appropriate.
  • Prepare bi-annual tax effect accounting for UK and Irish entities.
  • Own and sign off primary statements including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow.
  • Prepare regular divisional Board reporting.
  • Manage transactional finance projects, including the integration of rights management and accounting systems.
  • Provide reporting to senior management and Head Office including comprehensive narrative, analysis and comparative information.
  • Manage working capital ensuring that liquidity is maintained and optimised.
  • Manage and administer all aspects of divisional payroll and pensions provision.
  • Review processes and systems to ensure their suitability and success.
  • Provide support to the company commercial function both proactively and as required, to enable the success of the business.
  • Be part of the senior management and decision-making team, providing analysis and insight and the benefit of specialist knowledge and experience.

Skills and Attributes

  • Hold an accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA).
  • Have at least five years' experience in a similar role.
  • Provision of expert advice on statutory, regulatory and technical accounting matters.
  • Maintenance of a robust control structure and successful management of risk, safeguarding the assets and integrity of the business.
  • Delivery of high-quality reporting on time, every time.
  • Demonstration of propensity to make improvements.
  • Manage and maintain successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage a successful and motivated accounting and transactional team.
