A fantastic opportunity to join a leading player in the logistics industry as their Air Imports Specialist. This is a permanent role and is an ideal opportunity for a passionate logistics professional

As Air Imports Specialist you will be your customers' primary contact responsible for managing and operating the shipment lifecycle of their global freight.

The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who has ideally dealt previously with air imports but also someone who excels in a fast-paced setting and is able to swiftly resolve transportation and documentation challenges. You will need to be comfortable actively engaging with customers, closely collaborating with them throughout the entire shipment process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comprehend the intricacies of international shipping processes, documentation, and terminology, spanning from purchase order issuance to cargo delivery.
  • Apply industry expertise and critical thinking to adjust processes and devise solutions in response to both internal and external challenges.
  • Coordinate various tasks related to shipments, ensuring adherence to all customer Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements, such as booking approvals, pre-alert processing, governmental filings, executing deliveries, and ensuring accurate invoicing.
  • Collaborate effectively with international team members and third-party agents to enhance efficiency, provide excellent customer service, and find innovative solutions to problems.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers by responding promptly and following up on issue resolution.
  • Offer support in reporting and documentation to both internal and external customers.
  • Actively participate in customer business reviews.
  • Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and develop solutions in response to challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Air Import.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
