Job Description

Business Development Manager

Our client based in Cork is looking for a Business Development Manager with previous experience in Localisation and Translation.

Specific Responsibilities include:
* Creates and delivers business development plan for 2022 for input and sign-off (strategies, goals, objectives, targets, deadlines, schedule for outreach efforts to prospective Clients)
* Investigates global company networking opportunities in Ireland through government agencies and other professional entities and communities
* Enlists the appropriate support and consultation of key stakeholders at appropriate phases within the BDM workflow
* Negotiates rates and payment conditions in consultation with the Group Management
* Evaluates risk of potential new Client opportunities in conjunction with key Management and IT stakeholders
* Sources and closes new clients from all industry sectors through referrals, cold calling, networking, and other means (tradeshows etc.)
* Develops and manages sales pipeline, revenue forecasting and reporting
* Manages prospect pipeline and records all Client interactions
* Identifies training needs for new services and technology within our industry
* Sets and manages client expectations while consulting with each client and ensures compliance with the Groups best practices
* Prepares and coordinates proposals (RFPs, RFQs - more exhaustive proposals, tender-type) in collaboration with other Group departments
* Prepares and monitors the first quote(s) for a new account / sets follow up schedules with Clients
* Maintains prospective Client database (record new Client profiles, update of Client information, etc.) in conjunction with identified Group stakeholders
* Monitors first project(s) - Client feedback/satisfaction
* Creates and updates sales presentation materials. Adapts for each prospective Client as necessary
* Clearly briefs all the Groups stakeholders on new Client requirements including resource profile, tools, schedules, Client expectations etc
* Works alongside the Groups IT stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and take the necessary actions to gain economies of time, scale and cost

Personal attributes
* BA, Degree in Translation, Business Administration, IT
* Experience in localisation sales or business development, ideally with a marketing slant
* Minimum 3 years of industry experience
* Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
* Enjoys speaking and presenting to clients
* Results-oriented, upbeat and focused with a strong passion to succeed
* Flexible and versatile in nature, eager to take on new challenges
* Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to actively contribute to the growth and success of the group
* Pragmatic decision maker and calm under pressure
* Proactive thinker with the ability to use own initiative and knows when to enlist help
* Proven planning and organisational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
* Flexible working hours and willing to travel

Will be considered as a plus:
- Demonstrable experience liaising with virtual international teams
- Demonstrable experience in finance/budget management
