Morgan McKinley payroll for contractors is paid weekly a week in lieu.
Individual PAYG (Pay As You Go)
This type of payroll is typical of most employees/individuals. Funds are deposited weekly into the contractor’s bank account and taxed accordingly. A Tax File number will be required.
3rd Party Payroll
These companies offer financial incentives or Visa’s to our contractors if they allow their payroll to be processed through them. We are happy for our contractors to do this as long as it’s discussed with the Contract Admin team first. Once a contractor is payrolled through a 3rd Party payroll company they effectively become their employee and we aren’t held responsible if wages or superannuation payments aren’t received.
If a contractor elects to be paid by a third party provider after commencing their assignment, Morgan McKinley must be notified of this giving two weeks’ notice in writing.
Limited Companies
These Contractors are requesting to be payrolled through their LTD business. Below is a list of the documents that are required to set up a Limited Company for payroll. There are no exceptions if these documents aren’t received they will be payrolled as PAYG and a Tax File number will be required.
- Evidence of Incorporation/Partnership/Trust Deed
- Certificate of Currency for Insurances
- Workers Compensation
- Public Liability (minimum amount $10,000,000)
- Professional Indemnity (seek professional consultation from your Accountant/Financial Advisor/Insurance Company)
Updating your Details
To change any of your personal details, log into the portal and navigate to the person icon located in the top right hand of your dashboard and click on My Information. Please note you will only be able to update personal information from Thursday to Monday close of business.
Superannuation
Morgan McKinley’s default superannuation fund is Prime Superannuation. You can elect a different fund, or contribute to a self-managed fund by completing and submitting an ATO Superannuation Choice form with all the appropriate documentation. Superannuation is paid monthly to your nominated fund. If you would like to salary sacrifice into superannuation, please complete the Salary Sacrifice Super form.
