Key Responsibilities

Oversee the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, development, performance management, and offboarding

Ensure compliance with Japanese labor laws, company policies, and corporate governance standards

Manage HR operations including payroll, benefits, attendance, and HRIS systems

Lead employee engagement and organizational development initiatives to foster a high-performing, inclusive workplace

Handle employee relations, supporting conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and coaching for staff and managers

Oversee general affairs functions such as office administration, contracts, facilities, vendor management, and company events

Partner with retail operations and senior leadership to align HR and administrative strategies with business goals
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field

6+ years of HR and/or General Affairs experience, ideally in retail or fashion

Strong knowledge of Japanese labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices

Proven experience managing payroll, benefits, and HRIS systems

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both Japanese and English
