This role manages core HR operations, policy planning, and global HR initiatives, serving as the key HR contact for a 200-employee technical center in Tokyo. Key Responsibilities
- Lead HR operations from planning through execution, including compensation, payroll, labor, and HRIS.
- Act as a trusted HR Business Partner to technical teams and site leadership.
- Design, implement, and manage HR policies in collaboration with Group HR.
- Support labor and performance management, employee engagement, and compliance.
- Drive global and regional HR projects in coordination with APAC headquarters.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5-7 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in technical or manufacturing settings.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
Language Proficiency:
- Japanese: Fluent (business-level communication required).
- English: Fluent (regular communication with HQ).
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills, autonomy, and a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in a foreign company or overseas HR function.
- Prior experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Ability to propose and implement improvements in HR systems and culture.
