An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Ecommerce to join a globally recognised fashion and lifestyle brand in Tokyo. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will lead the Japan e-commerce business, manage a high-performing team of three, and drive the company's digital growth strategy. This leadership role is ideal for an experienced ecommerce professional who is passionate about digital commerce, customer experience, and accelerating online business performance in the fashion and retail industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing ecommerce team to achieve ambitious business objectives.
- Develop and execute ecommerce strategies that drive online sales growth, profitability, and long-term business success.
- Lead customer acquisition, conversion optimisation, retention initiatives, and CRM strategies to enhance customer lifetime value.
- Strengthen the brand's digital presence across owned ecommerce channels and key digital platforms.
- Optimise website performance, user experience, product merchandising, and online customer journeys to maximise conversions.
- Analyse ecommerce performance, customer behaviour, and market trends to identify new growth opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Retail, Merchandising, and Global teams to deliver a seamless omnichannel customer experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- More than 10 years of experience in ecommerce, digital commerce, or online business management.
- Proven experience within the fashion, retail, consumer goods, or other B2C industries.
- Demonstrated success leading ecommerce growth strategies and driving online sales performance.
- Strong people management experience with a track record of coaching, developing, and inspiring high-performing teams.
- Excellent commercial acumen with strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive business decisions.
- Proven ability to collaborate with senior stakeholders across local and global organisations.
