You will have strong autonomy to shape architecture, introduce modern technologies, and guide engineering teams through complex platform evolution in a globally connected, innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Define technical strategy, select technology stacks, and design architectures for large-scale business renewal initiatives
- Lead planning, execution, and technical problem-solving for major system migration and refactoring projects
- Manage development roadmaps, task breakdowns, and resource allocation to ensure on-time delivery
- Provide technical leadership through mentorship, code reviews, and engineering best practices
- Design and implement high-availability, secure, and scalable system architectures
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 10+ years of full-stack web application development experience with proven team leadership
- Hands-on involvement in large-scale system modifications, refactoring, or migration initiatives
- Strong development expertise in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, and PHP across backend and frontend systems
Soft Skills:
- Strong technical leadership capable of guiding teams through complex organisational and system change
- Strategic problem-solving mindset with the ability to align technical decisions to business goals
- High ownership, accountability, and decision-making ability in high-impact environments
Language Requirements:
- English: Intermediate to Business level
- Japanese: Fluent level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience designing and operating microservices or large-scale distributed systems
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience working as a Scrum Master or within Agile development frameworks
