Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary regional Cybersecurity Engineering contact in Japan and act as a key liaison with the global cybersecurity organisation.
- Administer, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise security platforms, including CASB, EDR, DLP, WAF, and Password Management systems.
- Manage cybersecurity incidents, service tickets, and security inquiries from local teams, escalating complex issues to global subject-matter experts when required.
- Identify and implement security automation and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen controls and improve operational efficiency.
- Support vulnerability management activities, including identifying security weaknesses and coordinating appropriate remediation.
- Contribute to third-party vendor risk assessments, data protection, and cybersecurity architecture initiatives.
- Ensure security operations and controls align with regulatory and compliance frameworks, including PCI DSS and SOX.
- Collaborate with local and international technology, security, risk, and business stakeholders to resolve cybersecurity challenges.
- Communicate security risks, incidents, and technical requirements clearly across Japanese and global teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, Security Engineering, or a closely related information security role.
- Hands-on experience administering, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise security technologies, including CASB, EDR, DLP, WAF, and Password Management platforms.
- Practical knowledge of vulnerability management, cybersecurity incident response, vendor risk management, and security architecture.
- Understanding of information security governance, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards, particularly PCI DSS and SOX.
- Experience investigating security issues and coordinating remediation across technical and business teams.
- Ability to operate effectively within an international cybersecurity organisation and coordinate with global security specialists.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.

- Industry-recognised cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
- Experience working within a multinational or global cybersecurity organisation.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity within retail, e-commerce, or large-scale digital platforms.
- Knowledge of enterprise data protection and information security controls.
- Experience developing or implementing cybersecurity automation.
- Familiarity with security architecture and third-party/vendor cybersecurity risk management.
- Experience working with geographically distributed teams in a remote or hybrid environment.
