Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute comprehensive quality assurance strategies, test plans, and testing activities across multiple insurance and financial technology applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, product owners, and business stakeholders to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for APIs and user interfaces while integrating quality controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by establishing QA standards, processes, and governance within agile development environments.
- Champion performance, security, reliability, and usability testing while influencing technical decision-making across cross-functional teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, quality engineering, and software testing methodologies.
- 1+ years of experience leading QA initiatives, testing teams, or organization-wide quality programs.
- Proven expertise in API and UI test automation using technologies such as Java, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
- Experience working throughout the full software development and testing lifecycle in agile environments.
- Must currently reside in Japan with full legal working rights.

- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence teams without direct authority.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- High emotional intelligence with a collaborative and coaching-oriented approach.
- Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Language Requirements
- Japanese: Business-level proficiency.
- English: Business-level proficiency.
- Strong bilingual communication skills required to collaborate across local and global teams.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Advanced experience integrating automated testing, quality gates, regression testing, and static code analysis into CI/CD environments.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling QA functions within organizations lacking mature testing frameworks.
- Experience working effectively with distributed and global engineering teams.
- Knowledge of financial services, insurance technology, FinTech, InsureTech, or enterprise transaction platforms.
- Understanding of modern software delivery practices and agile transformation initiatives.
