Join a global asset management firm as an L3 Security Engineer in Tokyo, leading a critical transition from an outsourced MSP model to a fully in-house cybersecurity function.
This is a high-impact opportunity to architect and implement enterprise security across the Microsoft ecosystem (Intune, Entra ID, Defender) and a multi-cloud environment (Azure and AWS). You will play a key role in shaping the company's long-term security strategy while collaborating with global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement security policies using Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM) and Entra ID
- Manage identity lifecycle including Conditional Access, PIM, and MFA/Passwordless authentication
- Act as the Level 3 escalation point for security incidents using Microsoft Defender XDR and Sentinel
- Secure cloud environments across Azure and AWS using CSPM best practices
- Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Graph API
- Lead strategy and execution for transitioning security operations from MSP to in-house
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Strong experience with Microsoft Intune and Entra ID
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender XDR and Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR)
- Expertise in cloud security across Azure and AWS
- Experience in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Graph API
- Knowledge of Microsoft Autopilot and device compliance workflows
Soft Skills:
- Strategic thinking with the ability to lead transformation initiatives
- Strong problem-solving skills for complex L3 security incidents
- Excellent communication skills to align with global teams and compliance standards
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment
Language Requirements:
- English: Fluent
- Japanese: Basic level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC2
- Experience in energy or commodities trading sectors
