A leading European insurance company is seeking a Finance Manager to join its Tokyo office. Key Responsibilities
- Support general ledger management, account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities.
- Collaborate with regional finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
- Assist in treasury-related activities including cash management and banking relationship management.
- Strengthen financial governance, compliance frameworks, and internal control processes.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency across finance functions.
- Contribute to finance transformation and strategic projects while partnering with key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, finance operations, or financial control.
- Strong knowledge of J-GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, financial governance, and reporting processes.
- Experience working within multinational organizations or international finance environments is highly advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Soft Skills:
