In this hands-on role, you will lead technical support for Japan, train service engineers, and collaborate closely with global teams. Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical support for new medical device introductions coming from global manufacturing sites.
- Plan and deliver technical training programs for service engineers across Japan.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting support and create service tools and repair documentation.
- Act as the primary technical liaison with overseas factories, including business travel.
- Manage technical documentation, support quality assurance activities, and resolve complex technical issues.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field.
- Experience installing, maintaining, or repairing equipment as a field service engineer.
- Ability to travel internationally for extended business trips (2-4 weeks).
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes of complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly and train engineers effectively.
- Strong collaboration skills for working with U.S. teams, Japan-based engineers, and quality functions.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level.
- English: Intermediate to business level (TOEIC 600+ preferred).
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Maintenance experience within the medical device industry.
- Engineering experience with electro-mechanical systems, semiconductor equipment, or complex testing devices.
