In this role, you will ensure secure, reliable, and efficient IT infrastructure operations across manufacturing sites. You will manage daily IT operations, support mission-critical systems, and collaborate with both on-site personnel and global IT teams to maintain high operational continuity and system integrity. This position plays a vital part in strengthening IT reliability, security, and modernization across production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily IT operations for networks, servers, endpoints, and communication systems.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software supporting manufacturing operations.
- Ensure compliance with global IT security standards and data protection policies.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance issues impacting production continuity.
- Coordinate with global IT teams and external vendors for updates and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate documentation for infrastructure, configurations, and operational procedures.
- Provide technical support and training to on-site users on IT tools, systems, and policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Several years of IT infrastructure support experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
- Technical proficiency in server management (Windows/Linux), networking, and virtualization.
- Hands-on experience with endpoint support, cybersecurity, backup management, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Active Directory and network administration.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Clear communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Flexibility to support on-call requirements aligned with manufacturing operations.
- Ability to work hands-on in a dynamic, fast-paced site environment.
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Business-level or higher (必須).
- English: Intermediate to Business level.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in OT environments, PLC/SCADA integration, or MES/ERP connectivity.
- Knowledge of industrial IoT or control system networks.
- Professional IT certifications (ITIL, CCNA, Security+, MCSA/MCSE).
