Morgan McKinley are currently working with a global leader within the education sector in sourcing a Group Financial Controller for an initial 3-6 month period.
The role will be hybrid and is based in Central London.
You will be responsible for the management of the Group's financial and statutory reporting requirements in accordance with year-end audit and project requirements, reporting packs under IFRS, and other applicable areas of GAAP
Duties will include
- Work with the Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager and Regional Finance Directors to deliver the group audit process and key reporting tasks.
- Support the Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager in ensuring the audit is delivered within the agreed timeframe by taking responsibility for allocated deliverables during the audit planning, fieldwork and completion phase, including the resolution of any audit issues
- Support the Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager and Finance Projects Team ensuring that project responsibilities are completed within the agreed frame by taking responsibility for allocated deliverables during the audit planning, fieldwork and completion phase.
- Provide key inputs in the preparation and presentation of the consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and the Group's accounting policies
- Provide key inputs in the preparation and presentation of monthly and quarterly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet reporting for internal management reporting purposes, including undertaking consolidated balance sheet and P&L analytical reviews.
- Support the Financial Accounting Team with central entity journal postings, analysis, approvals and review of month/quarter end reporting activities
- Assist the Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager in ensuring compliance with the Group's Significant Contract policy. Documenting the accounting treatment of significant contracts or transactions.
- Assist the Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager in ensuring compliance with the Group's Significant Contract policy. Documenting the accounting treatment of significant contracts or transactions.
- Work cross-functionally with other teams to provide clear and concise accounting advice on significant and unusual transactions
This is an immediate start, client's looking to meet candidates this week with a view to starting next week ideally, this role will be paying £500 per day inside IR35.
