Morgan McKinley is partnering with a multinational technology company who are leaders in their industry. This is an 11 month contract with the option to work remotely.
Our client is looking for a data analyst who shares our passion for helping make their platform a safe place for people and businesses to connect across the world.
The right candidate will be comfortable in a fast-moving organization and excited to collaborate cross functionally. You will possess strong quantitative analytical skills, statistical knowledge, data visualization skills and communication skills, and the ability to build strong partnerships to drive impact across the organization.
This position will be based in Ireland, supporting a global team on an 11 month contract.
Responsibilities:
● Partner with teams within Quality, the broader Global Operations organization, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product and Engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities
● Independently analyse data, conduct research and synthesise feedback into plans, processes and playbooks
● Build/maintain data infrastructure (reporting layer data pipelines, reports, dashboards, alerts) to monitor the performance of our operations and drive business understanding
● Proactively propose creative technical and quantitative solutions to problems and drive these through to implementation e.g.through identification of data & tooling requirements enabling self-service / scalable solutions
● Communicating results of analyses to non-technical stakeholders who are the users of systems involving metrics, pipelines, and dashboards
Qualifications:
● Minimum 5+ years professional experience working in an Operations, Analytics, Product, Engineering or equivalent team, preferably in a technology company, consulting firm, or similar fast-paced environment
● B.A. or B.S. degree with a quantitative focus in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Data Science or equivalent training
● Proficiency in querying and manipulating complex raw datasets for analysis using SQL (advanced proficiency), Python (bonus)
● Extensive working experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau - designing, building, productionising dashboards)
● Experience with statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, probability, regressions, experimentation logic and biases, data modeling techniques, time series analysis)
● Professional experience with reporting systems, data pipeline architecture & deployment, data modeling, and automation
● Experience explaining technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to varied audiences and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses
● Must be able to work collaboratively, cross functionally, autonomously, and in a fluid business environment
Preferred Qualifications:
● Advanced degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Math, Statistics, Analytics)
● Experience thinking strategically, structurally solving product problems, and driving execution
