Senior Manager, Foster Care

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Charities Manager to lead our efforts in this critical area.

Position Overview:
The Senior Charities Manager will be responsible for overseeing the Foster Care category, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and support to foster families and children. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to enhancing the foster care experience for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Management:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services related to foster care that align with organizational goals and meet the needs of children and families.

• Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including foster families, social services, community organizations, and government agencies.

• Policy Development:

  • Advocate for best practices and policies that support the foster care system, working to influence positive change in the community.

• Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high standards of service delivery.

• Funding and Resource Development:

  • Identify funding opportunities and develop proposals to secure resources for foster care initiatives. Manage donor relationships and grant reporting.

• Community Outreach:

  • Raise awareness of foster care issues through community engagement, events, and partnerships, fostering a supportive network for foster families.

• Performance Monitoring:

  • Establish metrics and evaluate program outcomes to continuously improve services and ensure alignment with best practices.

• Reporting:

  • Prepare reports for senior management, stakeholders, and funding organizations to communicate program progress and impact.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on foster care or child welfare.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of foster care regulations, policies, and best practices.
• Proven experience in program development and evaluation.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
