Solution Architect
We are recruiting a Solution Architect to join a global consumer platform organisation's technology team. You'll join a small architecture team supporting cross-vertical initiatives across a global platform business, blending hands-on technical guidance with strategic input.
You will help develop and communicate architecture strategy across your domain, working closely with engineering and product leadership. Key focus on driving consistency across platforms by identifying common patterns, reducing unnecessary technical divergence and promoting knowledge sharing across teams.
What You'll Work On:
Platform Adoption & Migration
- Support teams transitioning onto enterprise platforms for order management, customer service and payments.
- Provide guidance on integration and migration decisions across verticals.
Domain Architecture Support
- Contribute to capability development within the insurance and broader technology landscape.
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Operate within an AWS-first environment, guiding technical decisions using established framework guardrails.
- Support infrastructure, service selection and distributed system architecture choices.
Front-End & AI Exploration
- Contribute to strategic discussions on front-end architecture direction (experience desirable but not essential).
- Explore practical applications of AI tooling for productivity, automation and development support.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong AWS cloud experience
- Background working within digital or product-led organisations
- Experience designing solutions at scale
- Ability to influence and advise, without owning delivery
- Pragmatic approach, balancing ideal architecture with real-world execution
- Comfortable working across multiple teams and domains
Please note: This is in an initial 6 month contract, hybrid working in Manchester and paid on a daily rate £900-960pd inside IR35.
