DBA - 12 months contract for Financial Services company

Requirements:

• Support IT Database system, ensuring services availability and capacity management.
• Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and tuning of database systems.
• Handle the installation, patching, and upgrading of database servers.
• Ensure compliance with security requirements while staying updated on new cloud database technologies and industry best practices.

Skills Reqd.:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3 years of database administration experience in a sizable organization - either Oracle / MS SQL MongoDB / MYSQL or PostgreSQL.
• Extensive hands-on experience in database installation, backup and recovery, performance tuning, monitoring, data replication, and encryption, along with strong skills in database design and problem-solving.
• Proficient in Cantonese and English.
