Senior VAT Manager

Our client, a leading international construction and civil engineering group are looking for a Senior VAT Manager to join their growing finance team.

This is a key role within the UK & Ireland division, focusing on Irish and UK VAT compliance, advisory, and process development.

Reporting to the Head of Tax, you'll drive continuous improvement in VAT reporting systems and controls, oversee the preparation and review of VAT, RCT, and Intrastat returns, and provide strategic tax advice on complex cross-border projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of VAT compliance processes and indirect tax policies.
• Partner with finance, legal, and operational teams to ensure consistent application of VAT guidance.
• Advise on complex multi-jurisdictional transactions and transformation projects.
• Manage communications with Irish Revenue and HMRC.
• Monitor legislative changes and assess business impacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• ACA, CTA (or equivalent) qualified.
• Strong Irish and UK VAT knowledge; RCT experience an advantage.
• Proven ability to manage complex tax compliance and advisory work.
• Excellent communicator with a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
