Senior Solutions Architect - Risk Technology
I'm sharing an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solutions Architect to join a high-impact technology team within a major financial services organisation.
The role focuses on designing resilient, mission-critical solutions, with experience across microservices, cloud/DevOps, APIs, data processing, SQL/NoSQL databases and event-driven architectures. Strong stakeholder management, communication and technical leadership skills are also key.
The successful candidate will have;
- 5+ years of experience in Solution Architecture or a comparable technical architecture role.
- Strong expertise in microservices and SOA architecture, with hands-on experience designing solutions within containerised environments.
- Proven experience designing and delivering high-volume ETL and data-processing solutions.
- Experience designing polyglot architectures, leveraging a range of database technologies, including relational databases such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL and NoSQL platforms, ideally MongoDB.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, alongside experience designing asynchronous communication and event-driven workflows using technologies such as Redis Streams and Kafka.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to create clear architectural diagrams using tools such as UML and Visio and confidently present solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible business language, enabling effective communication and decision-making across diverse stakeholder groups.
