Brilliant opportunity for a qualified accountant to join an industry leading global organisation as a Financial Accounting & Risk Manager.
Reporting to the Finance Director the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the financial information for the Irish subsidiary and maintaining an environment of good corporate governance and controls. You will also oversee the external and internal audits and support the annual planning cycles.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of quarterly & yearly financial statements and present to board of directors
- Oversee all local financial policies and controls
- Coordinate and plan for the annual walkthrough and test of all controls and present details of results to board of directors.
- Implement changes arising as a result of new accounting standards or legislation
- Ensure a smooth and timely audit completion in line with group and local deadlines and a regular clean audit report.
- Review and approve a range of financial transactions
- Work closely with colleagues across the global organisation including large IT / Change projects
Requirements:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualifications with 5 + years PQE
- Experience working in a top 10 audit firm a distinct advantage
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
- Excellent MS Office and excel in particular
