We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and accurate handling, storage, and dispatch of goods within our warehouse. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the ability to manage inventory and pick lists effectively.
Receiving Goods: Unload deliveries, check items against purchase orders, and store them correctly in designated areas.
Order Picking & Packing: Accurately pick and pack customer orders, ensuring all items are correct, securely packed, and properly labelled for dispatch.
Pick List Management: Prioritize and manage pick lists efficiently to meet order deadlines.
Inventory Control: Participate in regular stock counts, report discrepancies, and ensure accurate record-keeping of inventory levels.
Goods Storage: Maintain organized and accessible storage, optimizing warehouse space.
Order Dispatch: Prepare orders for dispatch, including required documentation such as packing slips and shipping labels.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet trucks, and other warehouse equipment (training provided).
Deliveries: Perform scheduled deliveries between company warehouses, ensuring timely and accurate transfer of materials in compliance with SOPs and GMP guidelines.
Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe working environment by following all health and safety procedures.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members to achieve daily operational targets.
General Maintenance: Keep warehouse areas organized, manage waste disposal, and assist with general housekeeping duties.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when following pick lists and SOPs.
Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items for extended periods.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a warehouse setting.
Good problem-solving skills and initiative to address operational issues.
Valid B-Class driver's license (required) for operating company delivery vehicles.
Previous warehouse or logistics experience is an advantage but not essential (training provided).
