As the Commercial Analyst, you will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and work closely with the Chief Financial Officer in addition to various teams across the wider business.
Responsibilities
· Collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, sales, finance, and operations teams to gather relevant data and insights.
· Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports to support strategic decision-making.
· Establish key performance indicators and metrics for analysis and benchmarking.
· Analyse business performance, sales trends, market dynamics, and customer behaviour to identify growth opportunities.
· Evaluate price files, commodity markets, and promotional effectiveness to recommend improvements.
· Support business planning, category strategies, and commercial projects with valuable insights.
· Participate in budget and forecast processes, leading projects for data enhancement.
· Support cost reduction initiatives and evaluate logistics costs for optimization.
· Engage teams to execute opportunities prioritizing maximum benefit
Ideal Candidate
· 3+ years' experience in business or financial analysis, preferably in a commercial environment.
· Qualified Accountant with strong commercial background.
· Proven track record of translating data insights into actionable strategies.
· Commercial/entrepreneurial mindset with drive, energy, and determination.
· Proactive with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
· Experience with financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.
· Strong quantitative and analytical skills, proficient in Excel & PowerPoint.
· Excellent communication skills with proven experience developing professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
· Knowledge of the retail industry an advantage but not essential.
