Temporary Administrator - Consultant Support (3-Month Contract)
Location: Outskirts of Cork City
Contract: 3 Months (with potential for extension)
Pay Rate: €19.50 per hour
Hours: Full-Time, Rota-Based (Typically 8:00-16:30 or 9:00-17:30)
Are you an experienced and proactive Administrator ready to support a busy, high-priority healthcare team? We're hiring for a 3-month temporary contract role within a critical department that directly supports medical consultants and patient services on the outskirts of Cork City.
This is a fast-paced, high-responsibility role ideal for someone who thrives in a clinical admin environment and is confident managing sensitive information and supporting senior clinical staff.
Your Role Will Include:
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to consultants and clinical teams
- Managing appointment bookings, patient records, and departmental correspondence
- Using hospital systems (e.g. PIMS) to maintain accurate data
- Handling telephone and email queries professionally and promptly
- Supporting the smooth running of the department with clerical tasks such as scanning, filing, and data entry
Requirements:
- Strong administrative experience, ideally within a medical or hospital setting
- Experience with PIMS or similar patient information systems an advantage
- High level of discretion, organisation, and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a rota-based environment (between 8:00-17:30)
