Responsibilities
- Lead the development of regional and market-specific business strategies aligned with corporate goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define strategic priorities and translate them into actionable plans.
- Drive the annual strategic planning and budgeting process, ensuring alignment with KPIs and performance metrics.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging trends in the insurance landscape.
- Support the ideation, development, and launch of new insurance products tailored to APAC customer segments.
- Evaluate and enhance existing product portfolios based on market needs, profitability, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and assess new market entry opportunities, partnerships, and digital initiatives to expand the company's footprint in the APAC region.
- Develop feasibility studies, business cases, and go-to-market strategies for new initiatives.
- Analyze and optimize multi-channel distribution models including agency, bancassurance, digital, and alternative partnerships.
- Collaborate with distribution leaders to drive channel innovation and improve sales performance across markets.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks to track business performance against strategic goals.
- Work closely with actuarial, marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure effective execution of business initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Financial Planning, Financial Services or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business strategy, management consulting, or corporate strategy, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of life, health, or general insurance products and distribution models.
- Proven track record in APAC markets with multi-country exposure.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in an Asian language is a plus
