Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of machine design from initial concept to final release
- Deliver robust designs through anticipating and preventing build, debug, performance
- and reliability issues
- Ensure design if compliant to all regulatory, safety and CE requirements
- Use 3D & 2D CAD software to produce solid models, detail drawings and BOM of
- equipment in line with client specifications
- Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance
- with engineering design and performance specifications
- Produce related documentation (technical data sheets, detailed drawings, operating
- manuals, test procedures etc)
- Prepare detailed tooling drawings and pneumatic schematics
- Responsibility for quality, commissioning and safety of designs completed
- Ensures project documentation is kept up to date and accurate
- Proactively seeks more efficient/lower cost methods of meeting quality and schedule

- Liaise with customers for requirement specifications and project deliverables
- Manage communications with various internal and external stakeholders for project
- delivery and status reporting
- Monitor project risks and implement appropriate preventative actions
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or similar
- 2yrs+ in a mechanical design role
- Experience with equipment design an advantage
- Innovative thinking and creativity in finding solutions to design challenges
- Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and concepts
- Proficiency in designing mechanical systems and components using CAD (SolidWorks
- preferred)
