The ideal candidate will have experience working within a highly regulated gas safety framework, with a strong understanding of applicable regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise and leadership in the maintenance and troubleshooting of LPG assets at customer sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing assets at customer sites and ensure adherence to these requirements in all engineering activities. Ongoing interaction with regulatory bodies.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with assets at customer sites, develop mitigation strategies, and implement measures to minimize risks to personnel, property, and the environment.
- Leadership: Lead, project manage and support engineering projects at customer sites, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of LPG systems, including inspections, audits, and documentation.
- Training and Development: Provide mentorship and training to junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and technological advancements in LPG engineering practices, and drive initiatives to enhance overall performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven track record of successful project management and execution.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
