A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join one of Ireland's largest companies in an industry that is continuously expanding. Our client's accounts receivable team requires a finance specialist to join their team for a temporary 12-month period.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing of bank reconciliations and ensure all Bank Accounts are effectively reconciled to agreed month end timelines.
- Management of all billing for all vendor invoices, ensuring invoices are created in a timely manner.
- Liaise with other finance teams within the business and external Banks to identify any unreconciling bank items.
- Post monthly general ledger journals as required.
- Liaise with Treasury at month end to ensure internal bank transfers are effectively reflected in the Bank Reconciliations and Closing Bank Balances align.
- Manage the weekly payment processes including within defined cut-off timelines.
- Manage the processing of all other non-accounts payable payments.
- Obtain relevant approvals for all payments and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Management of missed/lapsed payments and notify all relevant parties in a timely manner.
- Complete all month end reporting activities.
- Liaise with Internal/External Auditors as required.
- Ensure all process and procedures are properly documented and in line with internal controls.
- Raise risks and escalate issues as appropriate to direct line manager.
- Support continuous improvement and actively lead the implementation of these changes to enable improved efficiency and performance.
- Ad-hoc duties as required from time to time.
Key Requirements
- A minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience in a similar financial/accounting role
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with the use of Oracle distinct advantage.
- A recognised accounting qualification is desirable.
- Previous experience of working in a compliance role would be an advantage.
- Developing effective cross-functional relationships with the business to accomplish objectives.

- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
