Responsibilities
- Support of sales team in creation of sales drawings
- Review and understand of Client User Requirement documentation
- Drafting equipment mechanical designs in 3D and 2D formats in Solid Edge CAD (Solid Works / Autodesk Inventor)
- Working part of a Project Core team to ensure completion of deliverables as per the agreed project schedule and budgeted hours
- Mechanical design Subject Matter Expert (SME) throughout the lifecycle of a project, including supporting fabrication & assembly with technical queries regarding the design and manufacturability of the design
- Leading design reviews prior to and during the client approval processes for drawings and other technical documentation.
- Manage the GA and P&ID approval process with clients, and lead development of ergonomic mock-up reviews
- Development of project BoMs, identification of new suppliers, and interaction with ERP, PLM and the procurement department.
- Supporting the Project Manager in development of project schedule
- Manage change and create Variation Change Requests (VCRs) for submission to Clients.
- Supporting the creation and execution of Factory and Site Acceptance Testing protocols (FAT / SAT)
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- 5+ years' experience in mechanical design of machines
- Strong experience in 3D CAD Design (Solid Works / Inventor)
- Experienced in sheet metal design
- Experienced in concept design, detailed design, and producing manufacturing documentation. (general arrangements, details, parts lists, assembly documentation according to GMP)
