My client is looking to hire a IT reporting and Insights Manager on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid opportunity in Cork.
The IT Value and Performance team is responsible for the governance and financial management of IT activities, including IT budget forecasting and reporting, supplier performance management, procurement optimisation and the management of IT risk, audit and compliance activities.
Reporting to the IT Reporting and Insights Manager, the IT Reporting and Insights Lead will support the production of IT financial and non-financial reports and insights that demonstrate the value that IT is providing to the clients business and external stakeholders.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the design, management and continuous improvement of a suite of IT reports, dashboards and insights across financial and non-financial measures and KPIs, ensuring that they provide meaningful measurement of the value for the client.
- Support the development and presentation of these insights to a range of internal and external stakeholders across the business, tailoring the outputs as appropriate to suit the audience (e.g. executive level, detailed business-unit level, external regulator level)
- Support the creation of ad-hoc reports, briefing documentation and analysis as required by IT management and Head of IT
- Support IT managers with generating and executing improvement actions based on the insights data.
- Support annual and multi-annual IT financial and non-financial planning activities by providing trend analysis, lessons learned and other data insights
- Track, monitor and report on IT efficiencies and savings
- Track, monitor and report on chargeback\showback accounting models to the business directorates
- Input to, and support of, the client's IT Regulatory submissions, price control process etc.
- Support a regular, pro-active performance benchmark process to compare the client's IT performance against industry\peer organisations
- Support engagement with, and briefing of, IT Business Partners and the IT Management Team to ensure that they are fully equipped to communicate the service and value being delivered to our customers by IT
- Support the preparation of required IT financial and budgetary spend / trend reports, including the overall IT monthly report
- Contribute to monthly IT KPI and performance reporting
- Other duties as required from time to time
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Relevant third level qualification and or accreditation is desirable and or relevant experience
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in the utilities or similar industries is desirable
- Demonstrated financial experience in the development and management of budgets and associated monitoring and reporting.
- Demonstrated people management experience, with strong people, change management and conflict resolution skills
- Experience providing coaching in the development of the technical skills and abilities in others
- Highly motivated individual, working to the highest professional standards and with proven ability to deliver results
- Strong analytical skills and ability to identify and analyse problems and potential improvements, and propose and implement solutions
- Demonstrate adaptability and the ability to change focus and direction in line with business strategy and requirements
- Proactively identifying new areas of improvement and using newly gained knowledge and skill on the job
