This 12 month fixed term contract role is a varied role that will allow the successful candidate an opportunity to gain vast experience of Treasury on a global scale. The Assistant Accountant will essentially provide support to the Treasurer but also to the wider Finance Dept with tasks such as processing payments, cash application, bank reconciliations, bank access, external and internal loan principal, and interest postings. They will be instrumental in the implementation of the Treasury Management System
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Bank reconciliations on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Cash application of all bank transactions.
- Implementation of new systems and processes.
- Preparation of payment files across all banking both manual and automated.
- Responsible for payments to clients, vendors, and suppliers.
- Preparing relevant Revenue forms
- Actively support and liaise with senior management on a weekly basis regarding company's cash position and ensuring accounts are funded as required.
- Management of all beneficiary accounts master data
- Management of mailbox daily
- Assist with the year-end audit, preparation of financial statements and management accounts within reporting timelines.
Essential Requirements
- Qualified accounting technician
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong MS Office experience, in particular advanced Excel and Word skills
- Experience of NetSuite an advantage
- Fluency in English essential, both written and oral
- Ability to work independently/on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to streamline and identify improvements in processes and procedures.
- Strong time management and organisational skills
