Join a leading international auto parts manufacturer as a Site HSE Manager based at its Itako production site. You'll play a central role in implementing, managing, and continuously improving health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. This is a strategic leadership role where you'll influence site-wide safety culture, support compliance, and help shape a safer, smarter factory operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with Group HSE policies and Japanese regulations
- Lead safety responses, deliver safety training, and drive incident prevention
- Conduct internal audits, HSE patrols, and implement improvement actions
- Manage and update HSE documentation and internal control systems
- Oversee periodic statutory inspections and reporting duties
- Supervise the HSE group team and foster a safety-first workplace culture
- Lead improvement efforts across hazardous zones in the factory environment
- Coordinate annual safety plans and collaborate with multiple internal stakeholders
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in a factory-based HSE role
- Proven track record managing industrial or automotive safety initiatives
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with safety management systems and factory inspection protocols
- Hands-on experience with Japanese regulatory inspections and safety audits
Soft Skills:
- Passionate about safety culture and operational excellence
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire cross-cultural teams
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Intermediate (JLPT N3 or higher; must be able to read Kanji)
- English: Business level (for communication and reporting to global HQ)
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Background in the automotive industry
- Technical expertise in industrial HSE
- Certified Health Manager or equivalent qualifications
