Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-priority risk management workstreams from initiation through delivery, ensuring all regulatory and strategic initiatives meet KPIs and global standards
- Manage complex project lifecycles using hybrid Agile / Waterfall methodologies while maintaining control over budget, timelines, and governance
- Facilitate bilingual technical discussions in English and Japanese to align regional business needs with global risk transformation goals
- Translate regulatory requirements into business and functional requirements, improving risk processes and ensuring data integrity
- Partner with Risk and IT teams to prioritize technical deliverables and manage cross-project dependencies
- Mentor project managers and strengthen collaboration across global, matrix-managed organizations
- Provide transparent executive reporting to senior stakeholders, delivering data-driven insights to mitigate risks and resolve critical issues
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager / Business Analyst / PMO
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end delivery of multiple concurrent workstreams
- Experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologies and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project
- Strong business analysis and system implementation skills, translating complex user needs into IT specifications and testing plans
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management ability across local and global teams
- Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and drive delivery in a fast-paced environment
- Leadership potential and interest in people management (future team lead opportunity)
Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Intermediate to Business level
- English: Intermediate to Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience or knowledge of risk management including market risk, credit risk, stress testing
- Familiarity with key regulatory frameworks such as Basel III and FRTB
