Key Responsibilities
- Lead governance and operational risk control activities within insurance operations
- Manage first-line independent risk oversight (Line 1b)
- Oversee incident/error tracking, RCSA execution, and internal control validation
- Maintain and update SOPs, manuals, and business quality assessments
- Participate in local and global risk projects and stakeholder meetings
- Mentor junior team members and support cross-functional collaboration
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years in operational risk, internal audit, governance, or compliance
- Background in financial services or consulting preferred
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Soft Skills:
- Strong ethical judgment and accountability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Analytical thinker with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Language Requirements
- Japanese: Native or Fluent
- English: Business level
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in insurance operations, especially first-line or life insurance
- Knowledge of SOX, financial controls, internal control frameworks
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CIA, CPA) are a plus
