A leading global medical technology company is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to drive marketing strategy, product launches, and lifecycle management for innovative diagnostic products in Japan. You will lead product strategy from concept through commercialization, collaborating closely with sales, medical affairs, regulatory, and leadership teams to deliver successful product launches and long-term market growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute product strategies and lifecycle management plans for diagnostic products in the Japanese market.
- Build strategic product roadmaps and identify growth opportunities through market analysis and customer insights.
- Prepare business cases, financial investment proposals, and accurate sales and revenue forecasts.
- Develop marketing plans, brand positioning, messaging strategies, and customer communication materials.
- Partner with sales, medical, and regulatory teams to support product launches and internal training initiatives.
- Organize and lead customer events, educational programs, webinars, and major medical conferences.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to optimize product performance and market penetration.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of product marketing, product management, or commercial experience within the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, medical device, or life sciences industry.
- Proven track record of successfully launching at least 2-3 new healthcare, pharmaceutical, or diagnostic products.
- Experience developing business strategies using market research, customer insights, and performance data.
- Strong experience working with cross-functional stakeholders including sales, medical affairs, regulatory, and executive leadership teams.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and influencing skills without direct reporting authority.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Highly adaptable with the ability to make decisions in fast-changing environments.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and commercial acumen.

Language Requirements:
- Japanese: Native level fluency.
- English: Business level proficiency.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in oncology, genetic testing, molecular diagnostics, or preventive screening.
- Experience working with specialty healthcare therapeutics.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe applications, Google Workspace, and digital productivity tools.
- Experience within global healthcare, biotechnology, or medical technology organizations.
