A globally recognized Medical Device and Healthcare company is seeking a Commercial Operations Manager to lead commercial excellence, sales effectiveness, business analytics, and operational transformation initiatives across its Japan business.
This role sits at the center of Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, CRM, ERP, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, and Commercial Excellence, providing a unique opportunity to influence business performance through data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
You will lead a team of six professionals while partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, and regional stakeholders across APAC and global headquarters. The organization is actively investing in digital transformation, CRM optimization, ERP modernization, business intelligence, and commercial process excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Commercial Operations team to drive performance and engagement.
- Improve sales effectiveness through process optimization, automation, reporting enhancements, and system improvements.
- Partner with commercial leadership to provide business performance insights and strategic recommendations.
- Lead cross-functional projects involving CRM, ERP, Business Intelligence, and commercial systems transformation.
- Support ongoing Oracle ERP transformation initiatives and commercial process redesign projects.
- Collaborate with regional and global stakeholders on commercial operations strategy and technology initiatives.
- Optimize order-to-cash processes, sales planning, pricing management, and reporting workflows.
- Translate business requirements into scalable operational and system solutions.
- Drive adoption, training, and change management for new commercial processes and technologies.
- Develop data visualization solutions leveraging Power BI, Salesforce, CRM, and eCommerce data sources.
- Ensure governance, compliance, and operational scalability as the business continues to grow.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- Experience in Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Business Operations, Commercial Excellence, or related functions.
- Strong experience working with CRM, ERP, Business Intelligence, and analytics platforms.
- Experience leading operational transformation, process improvement, or business optimization projects.
- Proven people management or team leadership experience.
- Experience managing local and international stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen combined with analytical capabilities.
- Experience working with Salesforce, Oracle ERP, Power BI, or similar enterprise platforms is highly desirable.

- Knowledge of commercial excellence frameworks and sales effectiveness methodologies.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization platforms.
- Experience working within multinational organizations and matrix environments.
- Exposure to APAC or global commercial operations projects.
