Sitting within the Sales Operations organisation, this role combines people management, data operations, sales analytics, process improvement, and automation. You will be responsible for maintaining stable day-to-day data operations while improving data quality, standardising processes, and increasing operational efficiency.
You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, technology teams, and external service providers to ensure accurate and timely commercial data is available for business decision-making. A key part of the position will be translating data trends and issues into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
The role also provides the opportunity to modernise existing processes through Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Power Apps, AI, and automation technologies, reducing manual work and reliance on individual knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Data Operations team, including workload allocation, employee development, performance evaluation, and ongoing feedback.
- Oversee sales performance data, recurring commercial reporting, data validation, and rebate-related data processes.
- Ensure sales and commercial data is accurate, consistent, accessible, and delivered to stakeholders on time.
- Monitor data quality and operational performance, identifying trends, anomalies, and potential business issues.
- Translate data findings into clear, actionable insights that support commercial decision-making.
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data and reporting solutions.
- Manage external service providers, including service quality, SLAs, delivery performance, and issue resolution.
- Standardise processes, procedures, controls, and documentation to reduce dependency on individual knowledge and strengthen operational resilience.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate workflows using Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Power Apps, AI, and other automation technologies.
- Work with business and technology stakeholders to implement process improvements and support successful adoption.
- Strengthen the quality, efficiency, and usability of sales performance data across the organisation.
- Help develop scalable Sales Operations processes that can support evolving commercial requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data operations, sales reporting, commercial data, or sales performance data management.
- Proven people-management experience, including team leadership, employee development, performance management, and feedback.
- Experience identifying trends, anomalies, and business issues through data analysis and translating findings into actionable business insights.
- Experience within medical devices, healthcare, life sciences, or another complex multi-business-unit organisation.
- Strong understanding of data management, reporting processes, and data quality.
- Experience working with commercial and sales data to support business decision-making.
- Experience collaborating with multiple business functions, including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and technology teams.
- Experience working with external service providers or vendors in an operational environment.

- Project management experience or qualifications such as PMP.
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
- Knowledge of SAP, JD Edwards, Salesforce, or other ERP/CRM platforms.
- Experience applying AI or other automation technologies to operational processes.
