A global travel tech company is hiring a Business Development & Partner Relations Manager to expand its retail and lifestyle partnerships across Japan. You will play a key role in delivering high-impact marketing offers for international travelers by collaborating with shopping complexes, department stores, and specialty brands. This is a dynamic role with ownership, visibility, and cross-border influence.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and onboard new retail and lifestyle partners (e.g., department stores, malls, premium brands)
Develop collaboration proposals and negotiate commercial terms such as campaigns and incentives
Act as the main contact for partners, providing support, resolving issues, and reporting on performance
Coordinate internal teams in marketing, operations, design, and finance to execute brand campaigns
Track partner results, analyze performance, and recommend enhancements to drive growth
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience:
- 2+ years in B2B business development, account management, or sales
- Industry background in retail, travel, hospitality, e-commerce, or cross-border marketing preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Comfortable using data for reporting and decision-making
- Excellent multitasking, ownership, and project follow-through skills
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher
Language Requirements
- Chinese: Native-level fluency (spoken and written)
- Japanese: Business-level proficiency
- English: Reading and writing ability preferred
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working in fast-paced, international, or startup-style environments
- Familiarity with digital campaigns or cross-border brand partnerships
- Ability to develop creative campaign proposals for retail brands targeting inbound travelers
